Makeup Revolution launched their holiday collection somewhere around November last year which is called Life On The Dance Floor, but it was not available in India untill now. It consists of 4 palettes with each palette having three matching lipsticks. So that counts upto 4 palettes and 12 lipsticks.
I bought 2 palettes and 2 of their matching lipsticks from each variant as soon as I saw them online.
I will be talking about the Guest List palette in this post because that is the one I have used so far.
Price – Rs. 1950/- INR
The Guest List collection comes in a glittery rose gold packaging. The glitters are not gritty and will not come off as there is a film over them. The packaging is stunning and pretty different from the other Makeup Revolution palettes. The palette has a huge mirror on one side and the eye shadows on the other side.
The palette contains all warm shades. It has lots of peaches and oranges, some browns and a few mauves. This is a mostly matte palette. Out of 24 shades, only 6 are shimmers and the other 18 are matte.
The shades vary from light to very dark. So you will get your transition, crease and lid shades all in one palette. The shade range is very impressive. And the shadows are very pigmented. They blend really well.
They are a little powdery though, which might be because the shades are so pigmented. There is a lot of fallout you apply these. I would recommend to tap off the excess product from your brush before applying it to your eyes so you don’t get any fallout. Alternatively, you could just use a shadow shield or do your eyeshadow before the base makeup.
These are the eye makeup looks I created from this palette.
I stuck to the more colourful side.
Aside from the fallout problem, I think this is a great palette. The price point is bit steep but you get 24 shadows and they are pretty high quality. If you are someone who is into warm eyeshadows and like creating different eye looks then you should definitely pick this up. I love it, and I highly recommend eyeshadow lovers to give this a try.
