Review and Swatches : Wet n Wild ColorIcon eyeshadow palettes

Hello Everyone,

I have bought a bunch of products from Wet n Wild and wanted to share my experience with you guys. Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Wet n Wild Color Icon 10 pans eyeshadow palette. If you get a 10 pan eye shadow palette for such incredible price you have to have it. So I bought these palettes in 2 variants.
Price – 499/-

My thoughts on the product
The palette comes in plastic packaging which has a transparent lid. The lid has the brand name written on it. It is pretty decent packaging and I have nothing negative to say about it. The palette is quite compact and will be easy to travel with. The amount of product you get for the price is quite fair in my opinion. Now, Lets get to the good parts.
I have bought 2 variants and I will talk about them individually
Pigmentation/ Formula – The matte shades in both the palettes are very pigmented. The shimmers seem to swatch well but when I tried applying them on my lids they did not look flattering. I even tried to apply them wet but, that did not work. The pigments clumped together when I tried to pick them on a wet brush.  The eye shadows are very blendable, but I should warn you guys about the fall out. It is massive you guys. I highly suggest to do your eye makeup before your face makeup so as not to mess up your foundation due to the fall out. Or else you can be a little careful and tap off the excess when working with these eyeshadows.

Nude Awakening – As the name suggests this palette has all neutral shades perfect to create a look. It has 2 transition colors, one black, one bone color shadow and one mauvey brown color. It has 5 matte and 5 shimmer shades. The mattes in the palette are perfect for transition and crease shades.

Rose in the Air – This one has 8 matte and 2 shimmers. Most of them are warm colors. The mattes include lighter shades for transition and darker shades for crease. As I mentioned earlier the shimmer shadows are not that flattering on the lids. So one has to resort to other palettes or single shadows if they want to use shimmer in their look. But this palette has perfect colors to create a all matte eye look.

I created this matte smokey eye using both the palettes.

My final thoughts : These are good affordable palettes if you want to create all matte looks. The shimmer eye shadows are a disappointment. I like the Rose in the Air more than the Nude Awakening because it has more warm matte shades which can be used for a smooth transition in creating any eye look.

I hope this post was helpful. Please let me know if you want a step by step tutorial for this look down in the comments.
